Always on Scotland’s side
Dumbarton needs an MSP who will stand up for our communities.
Too many people across Dumbarton, the Vale, Helensburgh and our villages feel forgotten — by politicians more interested in party lines than real lives. I’m standing to change that.
I’ve lived, worked, and represented people in this area for years — not from a distance, but on the doorsteps, at community meetings, and in council chambers. I know the challenges we face, from crumbling infrastructure to NHS backlogs, and I know how hard people here are working to make our towns thrive.
This campaign isn’t just about winning a seat — it’s about delivering change that matters: fairer investment, stronger local voices, and a future shaped by the people who live here. That means listening, acting, and fighting for what’s right. But real change takes more than good intentions: it takes the power to make decisions that reflect Scotland’s priorities. Westminster isn’t working for Scotland. From economic uncertainty to underfunded services, we are being held back by the UK Labour Govt who are out of touch and don’t have Scotland’s interests at their heart.
It’s time for Scotland to chart a different course – and with independence, we can build a fairer, greener, more confident future – a future made in Scotland.
I won’t promise the earth. But I will promise this: I’ll be visible, accountable, and always on your side — standing up for our communities, and for Scotland.

About Math
Thanks for stopping by – I’m Math Campbell-Sturgess, the SNP candidate for Dumbarton, and a councillor for Helensburgh & Lomond South on Argyll & Bute Council, where I also serve as Policy Lead for Business Development.
A former graphic designer turned jewellery maker, I also work as a parliamentary assistant and have been active in politics for over a decade. I was first elected as a councillor in Greenock in 2012, and since moving to Argyll & Bute in 2016 with my family, I’ve continued working hard for my community. I’m also proud to be the founder of English Scots for YES – during the 2014 referendum, I spoke to thousands across Scotland and represented the campaign in national and international media. From securing cross-party support to end exploitative practices like “sex for rent”, to pushing environmental measures like the coffee cup levy now in law, I have a record of getting results.
Now, I’m standing to be the MSP for Dumbarton – because I believe our communities deserve a strong local voice and a powerful national future. Let’s win this seat – and build an independent Scotland, together.
